All our cookies are baked fresh to order using: flour, unsalted sweet cream butter, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, eggs, meringue powder, pure vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, and food coloring. Although our cookies do not contain nuts, we do not advise anyone with nut allergies to consume our cookies.
Currently, our production schedule is booked about a month and a half to two months in advance. It's never too early to contact us to get your event on our calendar!
Due to the custom nature of each order we do not have a set price list. Pricing is per cookie and based on the complexity of the design you choose. You can choose from any of the designs in our portfolio or talk to us about designing something new!
Average price is $10.00 per cookie. The price of your cookie includes individual packaging in a cellophane bag, heat-sealed for freshness, and closed with a sticker. Each bag can be tied with a coordinating satin ribbon for an additional $0.50/cookie. Minimum order is 12 cookies (maximum of three designs per dozen) or $65.00.
We accept payment via cash, check or PayPal. Payment must be made in advance to secure your place in our production schedule. Payments not received within one week of the production date cannot be honored.
The Hungry Hippopotamus ships all over the world using FedEx and USPS Priority Mail. When placing an order, schedule your cookies to arrive 2-3 days prior to your event to avoid any shipping hiccups. Rarely, packages are delayed due to handling by the shipping company and we are not responsible for such delays.
Each box that leaves our kitchen is packaged with extreme care! To date, none of our cookies have arrived broken. Once our packages are shipped we are not responsible for handling that may result in cookie breakage. Shipping insurance is available - inquire about it when placing your order.
Each cookie we make is rolled, cut, decorated, and packaged by hand. For this reason, cookies may vary slightly from the designs you see online and/or sketches you may receive.
